Is it possible to have a special page to show all the unfinished pages / stubs?
Would be nice to get an idea of what needs to be added so far

I think Shortpages is what you are looking for, at least certainly in terms of stubs.

projects/source page
We should have a page we can list our projects/source code to the site.
MSNP12
A capture of MSN Messenger 7.5 reveals a request and response for MSNP12. I'd guess this is to support 'new' features in MSN 7.5, such as voice clips. Maybe a new section for MSNP12 (even stubs) would be nice.
- The only change I noticed so far is a new "1" parameter in LST, otherwise no changes --Inky 08:19, 30 Dec 2005 (NZDT)
Also, is it possible to have e.g. pages titled MSNP8, MSNP11 which can be edited with links to e.g. new pages? And then have a "table of contents" page which is embedded in the template or similar? *shrugs* Would solve the 'template maintainance' issue, I'd assume.
- Agreed, it should be easier to edit the sidebar! -- Inky 08:19, 30 Dec 2005 (NZDT)
Layout
OK, I haven't added this to the nav yet, but what does everyone think of this layout MSN Protocol Version 8, explore it a bit, it uses the overhead navigation so it can be a standalone document.--James 07:31, 21 Nov 2005 (NZDT)
- Nice, I particularly like the movement to templates for onpage navigation (only if there was a way to do that for site navi), I also see you are doing work now as various parts of the sidebar keep disappearing.--GE 08:02, 21 Nov 2005 (NZDT)
- Maybe the navigation bar could be placed into one of these set variables and then the MediaWiki software edited to use that specific variable. This then allows admins to edit, I think. (Oh and this new theme has completely removed the navigation for me) --GE 08:10, 21 Nov 2005 (NZDT)
- Yea I am JUST updating the site now, so there will be a few problems with navigation and the look might be alittle bit off. I am not finished.--James 08:29, 21 Nov 2005 (NZDT)
- Please please make the "Editing" box at the left expand by defaul (or make it easier to click, the + is too small). If someone wants to they can always hide it (save it with a cookie). It is inconvenient the way it is right now. --Inky 03:36, 23 Nov 2005 (NZDT)
ToDo
- Move #Client_IDs page to MSN Client Protocol or intergrate with Presence in NS
- Make up better names for Getting_Details and Setting_Details, perhaps seperate them into several chunks of information (ie. Contact List, Presence, etc)
- Add some way to edit the list at the left side of the screen
- Find places to put link lonely pages from.
MSNP12
Hello, i've been making the section for msnp12, and I would like it on the main navagation panel, please. I would like it under the msn network protocol -> Version 11.
Thanks Joe Editor of msnp12 section
- Version 12 isn't on the main navigation for a reason, it really doesn't introduce anything new except for some new client protocols, the network protocol is almost identical to that of version 11 except for the LST command. You can continue to edit the msnp12 pages, but unless you can prove they have a purpose they are not going to be put on the main nav.--James
- MSNP12 does introduce some new things, I believe, but it is such a minor protocol revision that most developers will either choose MSNP13 or MSNP11 to start with. Either way, please check your MSNP12 page for errors, especially things like "messanger.hotmail.com" (messenger.hotmail.com).
Spam
There's such a silly amount of spam here, it might be a good idea to consider allowing editing only by logged in users, since that's where all the legit edits are coming from anyway. invincible 22:11, 2 Jan 2006 (NZDT)
Looks like not much response to my post. =( I'm assuming my suggestion was implemented, or otherwise the spammers just stopped coming since there's been no edits from IP addresses lately. But now (looking at the recent changes page), there's spammers that are registering accounts with usernames that look like randomly generated garbage. I'm referring to Naganovadim and Kiuytreghj who both have only a single edit in their names... and both edits were new talk pages for pages that didn't exist in the first place that are just full of spam. - invincible 18:40, 15 Jan 2006 (NZDT)
Invicible, I brought the issue up on the forums [1], and yes, your suggestion has been implemented. You should bring up your suspicions in that thread and see what the administrators think. - Hiro (Jan 15 2005, 01:25 EST)
Fixed that problem, I added an image verification (CAPTCHA) so that it is impossible for a computer to register without human intervention... hopefully this is the last we hear from these stupid spammers--James 16:43, 31 Jan 2006 (NZDT)
MSNC1 pages
I'm a bit curious why the MSNC1..5 pages are absent in the main menu. I think they could use some improvement and it would help if these pages become more visible. On a sidenote, does anyone know the difference between MSNC1..MSNC5? So far I haven't been able to spot any differences with my client. vdboor 11:59, 3 Feb 2006
